Mastering the wind is a piece of cake with your dedicated instructor: you'll learn essential skills on land before progressing to the water, providing safety instruction throughout. Our Kitesurfing Packages

So all jokes aside, kitesurfing is a sport with a steep learning curve; however, with the right instructor, you'll be up and kiting in no time. Depending on your availability during your Punta Cana visit (and wind disposition!), here are some options:

Discovery Kiter: 4-hour lesson - US$400

Wind-window theory, safety systems, kite control, positioning, water start fundamentals.
Water practice: body drag (self-rescue), relaunch kite from water (self-rescue), water start practice with board.

Pro Kiter: 8-hour lesson with IKO Certification - US$800

Discovery + extensive practice. Fine-tuning water starts on both directions, learning to ride downwind, correcting turns/transitions, riding upwind, correcting body position, kite position, and most importantly, self-rescue.
Proving proficiency in these areas earns you the IKO-certification.
